International Engineering & Technology Fair (IETF), the flagship event of the CII, was first held in 1975, focusing on the Indian engineering industry with a large domestic participation. It has completed 44 years and 23 editions. In its long journey has achieved the status of a comprehensive international B2B event in this part of the world. Segmented into well-defined technological sections of the engineering/manufacturing industry and services sector, a number of focused sector specific shows have been successfully organized as concurrent shows with IETF, over the years.
Today, the world looks at India as an innovative technology hub with immense potential to lead the world in manufacturing as well as services sector. The role played by IETF in helping India comes so far has been very important. The event has helped India’s products and services to become not only cost-effective but also reliable and superior in quality. The Fluid Power Industry has evolved comprehensively over the last century and has generated intensive research, efficient production systems and integrated applications. The fluid power industry has three karge segements: Mobile Hydraulics, Industrial Hydraukics and Pneumatics. Historically, the mobile hydraulic segment has been the largest , accounting for about 50% of total fluid power sales. The industrial hydraulic and pneumatic segments are nearly the same size, each with about 25% of total fluid power sales.
